This policy covers Tally Pro, the optional A$20 a month supporter plan sold on runningtally.co. Tally is operated by dede. Everything else in Tally is free.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law#
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Nothing in this policy limits those rights. The rest of this page is what we offer on top of them.
Cancelling#
- Cancel at any time from your plan page in Settings. You don't need to contact us.
- Tally Pro stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then ends. You won't be charged again.
- Every feature of Tally stays available after Tally Pro ends.
Refunds we give on top of your rights#
These are in addition to, not instead of, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Within 14 days, no questions asked. Ask within 14 days of any Tally Pro charge and we'll refund that charge in full. You don't need to give a reason. This applies to every charge, not just the first.
- Charged by mistake? If you were charged after cancelling, charged twice, or charged the wrong amount, we'll refund the mistaken charge in full, whenever you tell us.
- We change the price or the terms in a way you don't accept, and you cancel because of it: we refund any payment for time after the change takes effect.
- We close Tally or your account for a reason other than your breach of our terms: we refund any payment for time after it closes.
- You delete your account while Tally Pro is active: the plan is cancelled straight away, so you won't be charged again. We don't give a pro-rata refund of the current period. You can still ask for a refund of the latest charge if it was within the last 14 days, and your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply.
How refunds are paid#
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. We email you when we've issued one. It can take 5 to 10 business days to reach your card. We don't charge any fee to process a refund.
Asking for a refund#
Email team@runningtally.co from the address on your Tally account, with the date of the charge. We'll answer within 2 business days.
If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact your state or territory consumer protection agency, or the ACCC.
Tally Pro is only sold on our website, so Apple is not involved in any Tally Pro payment or refund.
